SAMPLE SYLLABUS - SAT PREP

This course is designed to improve your scores on three sections of the exam: Reading, Writing and Language and the optional Essay portion.  The course can be taken without consideration on the essay portion if the student is electing not to take this part of the test.

The strategies provided by the instructor are time-tested approaches to cracking standardized testing and guaranteed to improve your scores.  A one-on-one format tutoring format allows for the instructor to customize instruction based on the strengths and weaknesses of the student, not only in academic approaches but in test-taking approaches generally, which have been proven to affect scores just as much.

Taught by a highly experienced and successful English teacher in the American Boarding school circuit,this course will help you build key, foundational skills and hacks to defeat the SAT.

The student will be responsible for purchasing a SAT test book with sample practice tests: the edition and publication information will be provided upon signing up.  For all online sessions, the students should have access to a high-speed internet connection with working microphone and webcam and all students should be able to access zoom.us for lessons.  All smartphone apps are also available as downloads for desktop/laptop/tablet computers.
